Although meditation and exercise can take you out of your default mode network, they do not modify this background meaning-making brain network. In this webinar, I teach how to change the habits and contextual interpretations that drive unwanted behavior without your awareness.

About the Event

Releasing Your Thought Demons Using Biocognitive Methods

Healing the Wounded Hero is an open webinar series offered each month. Rather than a membership or subscription, these group sessions are an opportunity to participate on a monthly basis, each month with a unique theme necessary to individuate. Here Dr. Martinez will apply biocognitive science to teach how mind and body heal within cultural contexts.

Although Dr. Martinez is a licensed clinical psychologist, he offers a model of personal development that replaces doctor/patient pathology-labeling with teacher/student exploration of personal excellence. Within the realm of the wounded hero, participants will be able to identify how cultures diminish selfhood and how to access the path of individuation. But rather than identifying with the helpless victim, participants will embrace the Wounded Hero Archetype and its unbounded resilience to confront and resolve internal conflicts that deprive them of their joy, health, and prosperity.
