About the Event
This webinar delves into the provocative idea that “sin," often culturally contextualized as shame, guilt, or moral failure, is a teleological necessity, a purposeful catalyst on the hero’s journey that drives individuals toward virtue and self-actualization. Drawing from biocognitive science theory, sin is redefined as a biosymbolic construct, with a negative moral weight. But rather than a process of penance, we will explore how embracing these “sins," can fosters resilience, authenticity, and virtue, when recontextualized as stepping stones to empowerment. Grounded in neuropsychology, psychoneuroimmunology and Aristotelian philosophy, this webinar offers practical tools to transform perceived flaws into strengths, aligning mindbody coherence for a purposeful life. Rather than redemption, sin can serve as evolvement in the imperfect world of free will. We will also explore how we culturally create internal judges with punitive reminders of our transgressions.
