Diplomate Mentorship
Level Two

Pathways of Biocognitive Science

How Longevity is Culturally Learned and the Causes of Health Are Inherited

Mario Martinez, PsyD

The Biocognitive Science Mentorship is based on my extensive research and clinical neuropsychology practice in mindbody science as well as on my bestselling book The MindBody Code. In each of the lessons I teach how to embody the philosophy and apply the science of biocognition. Each section is a pathway to the complexity of how our mind and body communicate within the cultural parameters we learn to perceive our world. But mindbody complexity does not have to be complicated.

Level II Mentorship will cover the practical tools to trigger the causes of health that are genetically and epigenetically inherited and culturally contextualized. According to biocognitive theory, the brain interprets reality based on how it culturally learns to perceive and emote the world. These interpretations have psychoneuroimmunological correlates that affect health and longevity. The meaning-making that is contextualized sustains behavior. Rather than behavior modification, biocognition focuses on the terrains of meaning that inform behavior.
