 Pathways of Biocognitive Science

How to Change the Beliefs that Limit Health, Longevity, and Success

Mario Martinez, PsyD

The Biocognitive Science Mentorship is based on my extensive research and clinical neuropsychology practice in mindbody science as well as on my bestselling book The MindBody Code. In each of the lessons I teach how to embody the philosophy and apply the science of biocognition. Each section is a pathway to the complexity of how our mind and body communicate within the cultural parameters we learn to perceive our world. But mindbody complexity does not have to be complicated.

Level I Diplomate Mentorship introduces the ontology and epistemology of biocognitive science with practical tools to navigate the turbulence of interpreted good and bad conditions. We are taught that stress is bad and calm is good. These fixed concepts, inherited from mechanistic science, are insufficient to understand how stress is the cultural interpretation we make when confronted with change: good or bad.  I propose that our degree of cultural resilience is what determines how the turbulence of change is transformed to harmful stress or creative wellness. And what is cultural resilience? The culturally learned worthiness needed to accept our good fortune and access the resources to overcome our challenges. Tools are insufficient if we feel unworthy of our potential excellence.
